Stats

This is a list of the stats required to learn ALL the forms of a set

The weapons have been listed in order of best to worst. Keep a note on the fact that although staff is one of the best weapons, it requires the second least in stats to be used.

There are six main weapons: Swords, spears, staves, axes, daggers and Ashandarei. Each of these weapons has a set of distinct forms, though they all share the level 0 and level 1 forms. All other weapons may use only the level 0 and 1 forms. As well, each weapon has different types of attack forms and defensive capabilities. The four types of attack forms are: Thrusting, Slashing, Swinging, Overhead listed in order of increasing damage and decreasing speed.

Ashandarei are capable of using all four attack types and have forms that are very fast and do moderate to heavy damage.

  • These are often the rarest to find in the game, mostly because they are the most recently added, even if you manage to find a practice weapon, finding someone who can actually teach you Ashandarei forms is something else. These are essentially the spear forms for non-Aiel, as Spear has been mostly reserved for them.

Staves are capable of using Thrusting, Slashing and Swinging types and are moderately fast and do moderate damage, but are very good on the defense.
Spears are capable of using Thrusting and Slashing types and have forms that are very fast and do light to moderate damage.

  • These forms are pretty much reserved for Aiel and the staff has pushed folks who are interested in spear-like weapons to use Ashandarei instead. The "spear" as such is then more the short spear favored by the Aiel. It is difficult to find an Aiel willing to teach a wetlander, of course.

Swords are capable of using all four attack types and have forms that are moderately fast and do moderate to heavy damage.

  • Probably the most common weapon that people have. There are one-handed and two-handed swords.

Axes are capable of using Slashing, Swinging and Overhead types and have forms that are slow to moderately fast and do heavy damage.

  • While most weapons can only be mastered by those with the Weapon Mastery talent, Axes can be mastered by those with the Wolfkin talent as well.

Daggers are capable of using all four attack types and have forms that are very fast and do light damage.

  • RP benefit: you can hide daggers very easily. This is also the only forms that Assassins can get to lvl 7.

Other notes: Ashandarei and Staff are Two-handed weapons. Thus, if you plan on using them, gain the 'Dodge' skill. The other weapons are all one-handed, and you can either choose to dual-wield (if so, gain 'Parry') or you can use a shield (gain 'Shield Block').

Dodge: gives you a chance to avoid forms and arrows
Parry: gives you a chance to avoid forms
Shield Block: gives you a chance to block forms and arrows
